The Japanese Proofing paper is a mid-weight paper that has been sized. This paper has one side that has a rough textured surface and another which is smoother, ideal for printing on. The Japanese Proofing Paper is machine-made with 4 cut edges and is made from wood pulp. This paper has no laid lines like some other Japanese paper and can be used for editioning or for testing out prints before using more higher quality Japanese papers.
