Terms of Trade and Ordering InformationDelivery: An estimated delivery charge will be added to your order as you checkout. These apply to mainland UK ONLY, delivery costs to other UK areas are listed below but please note that the correct charge does not show at time of order. Your invoice will be amended prior to the payment being taken and dispatch. Placing an order implies acceptance of these terms unless you specify otherwise.
Orders weighing over 1kg are sent by 48hr Parcelforce with a minimum charge of £6.99 plus VAT per parcel (max 30kg). Orders to Northern Ireland, the Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man and Scilly Isles are charged at £16.50 plus VAT per parcel. There is a £5 plus VAT surcharge for parcels to the Isle of Wight. Small items under 1kg are normally sent by first class recorded delivery. Minimum charge £2.50 plus VAT. Delivery charges include postage, packing and insurance and will be added to all orders. Charges are based on the weight/volume of the order. Please telephone should you require an exact quotation before placing your order as the size and nature of some of the products require more than one parcel. Excluding the exceptions noted above, should the delivery charge be higher than estimated we will contact you for your confirmation before processing.
Delivery charges for OVERSEAS orders, including the Channel Islands, will be advised separately by either email or phone. IMPORTANT - PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU WISH TO PROCEED WITH YOUR ORDER OTHERWISE YOUR ORDER WILL NOT BE DISPATCHED.
Payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Switch payments are welcome with telephone and Internet orders. Please note that your payment will only be taken when your goods are ready to dispatch and not at time or order.
Dispatch: We endeavour to despatch orders within 5 working days plus delivery time of up to 3 days. If you are planning to purchase materials for workshops please allow for this as it is not always possible to respond to urgent requests. For urgent orders please telephone us so we can be aware of the date you require the goods and we will try to get the goods to you in time.
Damages and returns: Damage, returns or shortages must be advised within 7 days. For damages ensure you retain all packaging and notify carrier upon delivery. Any returns must be notified within 7 working days, goods to be returned in original packaging, unused and in perfect condition. The customer is liable to pay return carriage costs including insurance.
Account Orders: Official orders from account customers must be accompanied by an appropriate order number. Payment is due within 30 days from receipt of invoice.
Cheque Payments: If you wish to pay by cheque and are a non account customer, please do not send cheques before receiving a full quote or proforma invoice. Goods will be dispatched on receipt of payment.
VAT at 20% is applicable to all goods except books. The prices quoted in the catalogue and website are exclusive of VAT.
Important Notice: In the current economic climate, costs are continually increasing so we may have to alter the price of an item without notice. Should you need exact costs please ask for a quotation.
