Japanese Carbon Ink and Inking Brushes

Essentials for an introduction into Japanese woodcut printing. Carbon Ink is a professional and traditional dense black ink that can be used for woodblock printing (Mokuhanga), drawing and calligraphy. Ink can be used directly from the bottle or can be added to water for a wash effect, and comes in leak-proof topped bottles. 

These Japanese inking brushes are designed for the Mokuhanga process, where water-based inks are applied onto wood blocks. The brushes are dense yet springy allowing for a gentle and consistent application.
