The Awagmi Hosho is a mid-weight Japanese paper, 80g, that is tear-resistant making it ideal for woodblock printing. This washi is a bright white and comes with 4 deckled edges. The striped ‘laid’ lines are a unique characteristic of this high quality washi and it has a subtle textured surface on one side and a much rougher surface on the other. Long recognised by printmakers as one of the most versatile Japanese papers, the bright white and mid-weight makes it particularly suitable for woodblock prints. Hosho is made from 100% alpha cellulose.
