Baldwins Ink Ground (BIG)

Baldwins Ink Ground is a non-toxic alternative to traditional grounds. This ground is extremely versatile and can be used when experimenting with different effects. Techniques can range from soft and hard ground, photo etching, marbling, relief etching, sandpaper aquatints and coffee lift. Created by Andrew Baldwin of the Trefeglwys Printmakers Studio, this ground is made by a printmaker for printmakers. The red and black ground both work in the same way and can be applied in a thin layer with a roller.
