Pre-mezzotinted Copper

Mezzotint Copper Plates with a pre-rocked surface.

The Pre-mezzotinted Copper has be rocked to create a unique texture to the surface. These plates have been pre-rocked for you with an 85 lines per inch mezzotint rocker tool in the traditional manner giving these plates rich and deep tones. Plates can be worked into using a Burnisher for soft tonal effects or by using a Scraper for sharp lines.

Every plate is rocked with at least two complete passes in each of 12 different directions. This gives a minimum of 24 complete passes to create a deep, richly textured ground.

We do not cut these plates. Made in the UK. Special/Custom sizes available to order.
