Pre-mezzotinted Copper

The Pre-mezzotinted Copper has be rocked to create a unique texture to the surface. These plates have been rocked with an 85 lines per inch mezzotint rocker tool in the traditional manner giving these plates rich and deep tones. Plates can be worked into using a Burnisher for soft tonal effects or by using a Scraper for sharp lines.

Every plate is rocked with at least two complete passes in each of 12 different directions. This gives a minimum of 24 complete passes to create a deep, richly textured ground.

We do not cut these plates.
