Steel Plates

The Steel Plates can be used for an economical etching plate or as a sturdy plate for monoprinting. This steel comes in a thickness of 1.2mm or 18 gauge and is unpolished on both side. This plate comes with manufacturing marks, scratches and scuffs which are part of the products nature. We strongly recommend rubbing down the surface with fine wet and dry sandpaper to give a smoother surface whilst maintaining the tooth. The surface will produce a plate tone when printing. The edges will need bevelling.
