The Botanical Ultra Smooth is a mould-made, acid free watercolour paper with 2 deckled edges. The surface is sized and is made up of 50% cotton and cellulose pulp. This artist paper contains a mixture of  cotton and pulp and provides a mid-quality standard at an economical price. This paper has good stability and contains optical brighteners which give it a bright white finish.
