Hosho Rolls

450mm x 15.24m / 940mm x 7.3m – 40g

These Hosho Rolls are a much lighter weight version of our other Hosho paper, at 40g. This Japanese paper that is tear-resistant making it ideal for woodblock printing. This washi is a bright white and has a subtle textured surface on one side and a much rougher surface on the other. Long recognised by printmakers as one of the most versatile Japanese papers, the bright white and mid-weight makes it particularly suitable for woodblock prints. Hosho is made from 100% alpha cellulose.
